Christmas Mini Sessions – {Melbourne Family Photography}

As Christmas is fast approaching we have decided to run a very popular mini session day!  Are you stuck for gift ideas for your loved ones then this could be a great opportunity for you.  Perhaps even use the images as Xmas cards (see below).

What is a Mini session?
Our regular photo sessions are sixty to ninety minutes in length and at the location of your choice.  Mini sessions are conducted at our studio, both in and outdoors and are approx thirty minutes in length.  All sessions include a viewing session in our studio.

What day is Mini Session?

Sunday 13th November, very limited session so book now to avoid missing out!

What is the cost of a mini session?
The cost of the session itself is only $50 and this must be paid upon booking.  At the viewing session you have the option of only purchasing the images you like on CD for the crazy price of only $25 per image.  There will also be some packages available.

How do I sign up for a mini session?
Please call us at 59566 728 or email nerida@lenstolife.com.au

PREPARING FOR THE SHOOT - TIPS

What to wear?

Select clothing that’s poppy, vibrant and fun!  It’s a Christmas theme so lets get in the spirit of things.   Avoid black and white and bring along anything that fits in with the theme of things, especially for the kids.  Layers can be added and removed to create different looks in minimal time.  Most importantly, we want everyone to be casual and comfortable in their attire. Make sure each member of the family tries on their outfit before the day of the shoot. Clothing that is too big will appear baggy and sloppy in photos. Clothing that is undersized will bunch or gape. Everyone should be in clothes that feel and look good on the day of the shoot.

AFTER THE SHOOT

How many images will I get to choose from?
Depending on how many people in session, generally there will be 20 to 40 images per mini session. Numbers may vary as each session is different. Please keep in mind that we post only the best images in an effort to make your selections easier.

Can I use an image from our mini session for a holiday card?
Absolutely, you may order loose prints which can be inserted into photo cards or choose a press-printed folded card option where the image is printed directly onto a heavy stock. These cards also allow for a small image on the back of the card, which adds interest and personality.

Phillip Island Personalities – ‘Cheeks’ | {Photography Mornington Peninsula}

A good mate of mine, Daniel Lunn, who is a crackin musician recently took part in a quick photo shoot for a personal project I’m starting.  The idea is a book of creative Photography on Phillip Island Personalities.  People who have been on the Island for years and have contributed or are well known members of the community.  Lunny has grown up on the Island and is undoubtably a well known local through his talent on the football field and also his gigs in the local pubs.  Hence the idea of having the Westernport Hotel in San Remo, which he has frequently played at in the past, as the background image.  If you know of anyone or are interested in taking part in this personal project we would love to hear from you.  There is no cost to take part in this project, only a little bit of your time to do the photography session.

Glamour Portraiture – Melbourne Family Photography

Glamour Photography is a fantastic way to reflect and celebrate the intimate relationships of Family.  Whether it be the close bond of Mother & Daughters as these are or any combination of family.    The glamour side of things is basically changing the way you see yourself.  We do this by using industry professionals who will pamper you and make you feel incredible.  Sit back and relax while the team at Beachside Hair & Beauty spoil you with gorgeous hair and make-up and maybe even a glass or two of champagne!  Following this, let Lens to Life Photography create some stunning images for you, whether it be in studio or in some cases even in the comfort of your own home, as this session was.   Throughout the whole process our team will make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

We can even document the day for you with video footage and stills which create fantastic memories!  Please take a look at what we produced for this family…

Little Ainsley – Melbourne Family Photography

Had to post a few images of cute little Ainslee.  These images are virtually straight from camera and were obviously shot in studio.  The many different facial expressions at this age are priceless!  What do you think Logans?  Look forward to showing you more very soon.

This little head piece along with many other great pieces was made by Hippity Hoppity Hoo.  Check them out.

Stephen, Fleur & Ruby | [Melbourne Family Photography]

We loved this Portrait session, as not only where there plenty of beautiful fun photos of little Ruby but the photos that really stood out for us were the images reflecting the connection between baby and parents.  As you can see below:

Hayden, Kate and Buster | [Melbourne Family Photography]

Spent some time getting some beautiful family images recently for Hayden, Kate & their new little boy Buster.  At seven weeks old little Buster did a great job in studio to allow us some magic photos for the family.  As they grow and change so quickly taking the time to get some images like these become priceless, especially in the years to come.

Creative Portraits | Mornington Peninsula Photography

Took this photo yesterday during a Mornington Peninsula Photography session for the Peninsula Kids book.  These kids were great and a pleasure to photograph.  Not only are they brothers they were also really good mates, which was reflected in the way they interacted with each other.  They were full of life doing flips off sand dunes and running a muck on the beach.  So for this image I really wanted to reflect all these aspects into this portrait.  The mateship of brothers and the fun they were having together.  By displaying the before & after of this fine art image, I just wanted to try and show the creative thought process into creating the final image.
