Willow Creek winery on the mornington peninsula was the setting for the reception of Anthony and Camille.  This was the 3rd wedding in a row that we have ventured to the very beautiful Willow Creek, but that was totally fine by us as we love it there.  These guys were an absolute delight to work with.  A fun, very relaxed day, (just the way it should be) was had by all.  Thanks again guys for a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy these few pics from the day.

One of the things we love about being photographers is capturing the amazing milestones of our customers lives throughout the years.  With this most recent portrait shoot on phillip island we have been lucky enough to capture this couples wedding and now, a few years down the track, some gorgeous family photography!

Could the weather have been any better for Jarrod & Jinny’s Phillip Island Wedding?  Jarrod & Jinny were married by civil celebrant Linda Mattarucco at the beautiful accommodation and reception venue Clifftop in Smith Beach.  This venue has everything you want, elegance and relaxation with some spectacular views thrown in!  The reception was catered by the locally renowned Spice Island Catering.  The photo’s below highlight the fun and relaxation of the day, with the images of the bride and groom and their wedding party being taken down on Smith’s Beach itself.  Congratulations guys we thoroughly enjoyed photographing your wedding and wish you all the best for the future!

Brent & Catherine were married on the 22nd October 2011 at Trenavin Chapel in Ventnor and the reception was held at Taylors Waterfront restaurant .  Their wedding had a ‘relaxed beach-style’ theme.  Following is a bit of background about the couple and what they thought about their special day!

How did you meet?
We met at my friends 21st birthday.  Brent and I hardly spoke but the following weekend i was going away to Phillip Island with a group of friends and Brent turned up with one of my friends.

Where and how did the proposal take place?
On Red Rocks beach while watching the sunset and having dinner.

What was your favourite moment of your wedding?:
Enjoying the drinks celebrating with family and friends at Taylors Restaurant on Phillip Island

Favourite Photo and why?:
I love the photo of my family of four on the cliff out the front of Taylors.  I think that’s the only family photo we had on the day as they didn’t come with us, although coming a close second is the one Lucas put on Facebook of the old pier pillars and the bay, or even me and Brent walking in the driveway of Trenavin with the the trees.

Description of Bride’s Dress:
Dress designed by La Sposa, made in Spain.  It’s an ivory dress that has beeding on the bust and a full skirt that has an opening with embroided detailing.

Flowers:
Light pink roses with exposed stems, from Red Earth Flowers.

Bride’s Shoes:
Gold strappy, open toe shoes.  They have rows of diamonties on the straps

Cars:
Stretched hummer limo.  It was black and we hired it through dreamride limousines

Celebrant: Desmond Stow from Mt Waverly.

Jewellery/Accessories:
I had a silver dangling necklace and matching hanging earring, and a blue ring that was my mum’s mothers.  The boys also had matching bracelets and cufflinks that said groom, groomsmen or bestman.

Hair & Makeup:
Our make up was applied by the lovely Pip from Make-up and body art in Cape Woolamai. She specialises in film and television make up.  She worked on the set of braveheart and other well know movies.  We did ask for her not to paint us blue!  Hair was done by John Airs who owns his salon, Kynk hair in Doncaster.

Groomsmen:
Mark Buccella was the best man and Justin Airs was the groomsman

Wedding Favours:
We doubled up on the name tag and the wedding favour.  It was a lindt chocolate and Wendy Stizza made them to match the invitations.

The Cake:
Was made by Sweethearts cakes, It was a two tiered wedding cake.  The bottom half was chocolate mud and the top half was raspberry and white chocolate swirl.  The cake was covered in light pink and white love hearts.

Rings
Brent’s wedding band is two toned, white gold and titanium and mine is gold with a row of fifteen diamonds.

The Honeymoon:
The main stay of the honeymoon was nine days in Fiji with two nights either side in Sydney.  In Fiji we stayed three nights in Denaru Island at the Sofitel and then we went to Mana Island for the rest of the stay.

James and Melissa met in 2007 at a local pub where Melissa asked James if he was going to buy her a drink?  4 years later, James is thankful that he did!  In April 2010 James asked Melissa’s parents for her hand in marriage and obviously they said yes!  They had a great Mornington Penisula Wedding ceremony at an amazing Church in Cerberus and when I say amazing, check out the pics below! It was incredible!

Melissa’s dress was a Strapless princess gown with a sweetheart neckline and intricate beading on the bodice going over the hips, flowing into Taffeta layers and full tulle skirt.  Her flowers were a teardrop bouquet of white roses, freesias and orchids.

After the ceremony we ventured off for a few photos to Somers beach and then the beautiful Sandhurst Club for the reception.

Memorable Moments:

1. Not knowing where the ‘throw away’ bouquet was and having to throw one of the bridesmaids’ bouquets instead, which was way too heavy and landed on the floor scattering flowers all over the place. It was funny but I was really scared I was going to knock someone out or injure them.
2. Walking among the trees in our special wedding attire.
3. Laughing until I cried

Wedding Photography Mornington Peninsula,

As Christmas is fast approaching we have decided to run a very popular mini session day!  Are you stuck for gift ideas for your loved ones then this could be a great opportunity for you.  Perhaps even use the images as Xmas cards (see below).

Port Melbourne Jetty was the location for the wedding of Emma & Kyle and even the bitter cold of the wind couldn’t put a dampener on the fantastic day had by all.  I must say these guys took it all in their stride with how cold it was and it was a credit to them as they weren’t going to let anything spoil the day.  We didn’t manage to get to many beach shots which they were hoping, as we were all getting blown away, but we made up for it at some other great locations in Melbourne.  Below is a short summary of the day as told by the Bride & Groom and the little details they mentioned are also summed up with images underneath.

Where Was It? Our ceremony was held at Finger Pier, Port Melbourne were we wed in front of 30 close family and friends – we liked to call the spot, our little pontoon out in the water! And the reception was held at The Point Albert Park where 100 guests joined us in celebrating our marriage.

Theme or Style: Modern Elegance with a laid back beach feel.

A Memorable Moment: I had my hair down and curled and due to the light breeze (as we call it), after the ceremony, I quickly popped back into the hair salon, dress and all and had my hair quickly redone. It was rather funny walking in and have everyone stop what they were doing and pamper you.  Bride’s really can do anything!

Wedding Planner: My mum and I organized the whole event, with a little assistance from Kyle of course.

Description of Bride’s Dress: My dress was a Wendy Makin design – It was the first dress I tried on. A fitted lace strapless champagne gown. Love heart neckline with pearls down the back and completed with a silk bow at the front.

Flowers: Flowers were from Flowers of Distinction. I had a last minute change the week of the wedding as our flowers were not in bloom due to Melbourne’s four seasons in one day. So I mainly left it up to the florist and it was quite a surprise on the day. I absolutely adored them.

Bride’s Shoes: I always wanted to wear flats and I managed to find sandals from Wittner that had pearls and a bow that matched my dress, I felt so comfortable all day.

Cars: We borrowed our friends 1954 Custom line. We had a little incident where the car stalled in the middle of Melbourne, but it didn’t take too long and we were back on our way again.

Celebrant: Di Kleinert – who we cannot thank enough, she is so relaxed yet so professional and fun. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Di.

Jewellery/Accessories: I had a hair piece made at The Sewing Room, they used the lace and material of my dress.

Hair & Makeup: Makeup was done by Kelly from Dior and our hair styles were done by rokk ebony.

Groomsmen: Suits were from Satch and the boys had their makeover session done at Manhor.

Wedding Favours: We created our own white lolly buffet, it was a massive hit on the night.

The Cake: I came up with the thought of cake balls (which was cake dipped in white chocolate and then decorated) to keep in the theme of our cocktail style (finger food) and had Alicia from Kake make them for us. It was her first time but she did an incredible job! They were a delicious white chocolate and raspberry flavour.

Rings: Emma’s rings are from Holdsworth Jewellers and Kyle’s is from Angus and Coote.

Invitations & Stationery: Invitations were simple and elegant, again with the white theme.  I designed the style and they were printed by Matt McLennan.

Food & Drink: Cocktail style reception – consisting of finger food: oysters, skewers,  etc. main course was noodle boxes of fish and chips to keep with our beach theme.

The Honeymoon: We jet setted off to Port Douglas where we stayed at The Sea Temple and then went to Palm Cove and also stayed at The Sea Temple.

Anything else? It was very easy picking Lens to Life as our photographer. When we met Lucas we felt he had that laid back approach like us. We didn’t have to pose as such, we could just be ourselves and he captured in the natural moment.
